With regard to Scheduling, please note that the Conference will commence on Saturday, March, 10th, 2012 with a Pilgrimage to the Historic Island of Balliceaux, where over 1,000 Garifuna were kept prior to being sent to Central America.
The actual Conference will take place from Sunday, March 11th , – Monday, March 12th, 2012. Participants are invited to extend their stay to March 14th to participate in the Official observance of National Heroes Day, March 14th – the Anniversary of the Date of the Death of Joseph Chatoyer the leader of the Garifuna Resistance Movement .
